1878-S VAM-107 Doubled Eyelid with Spike, Doubled D

Discovered by C. Logan McKechnie August 2007.

107 II30 - B2bh (Doubled Eyelid with Spike, Doubled D) (185) I-3 R-6
Obverse II 30– Eyelid doubled below front with short spike from front of eye below doubling. (Obverse of VAM-73)
Reverse B2bh - D in DOLLAR doubled at top outside and slightly at lower right outside. Small S mint mark set slightly to left. R in TRUST not broken. Die marker- Double vertical die scratches on 7-9 feathers from bottom of eagles right wing near inner feathers.

Comments:
1- 4th star is broken, r in Trust is not Broken, Doubled Liberty, B in pluribus not Broken
2- Obverse is shared with VAM-73 and 1878-S VAM-114
