1878-P VAM-190 Missing Nostril, Doubled Motto

Discovered by Leroy Van Allen, December 1965.

190 II3 - B2d (Doubled Motto) (179) I-2 R-4
Obverse II 3 - Missing nostril from over polished die. Different die than VAM 132.
Reverse B2d - Same as reverse B2a but with doubled GOD and WE to right, eagle's left wing feathers at top and top edge of eagle's right. Wings are overpolished in center. Can be found with 2-sided PL or DMPL surfaces. This is one appears to be one of the more common DMPL 7 tf varieties available.

Comments:
1- The nostril is FULLY missing.
