1878-CC VAM-27 Medium CC, Two Die Gouges Wing

Discovered by Laurence Galbraith, September 2006.

27 II 2 · B2a (Medium CC, Two Die Gouges Wing) ( ? ) I-2 R-5
Obverse II 2– Die chip on front of forehead, on top of eyelid and right of wheat leaves as in VAM 2B.
Reverse B2a– Medium spaced II CC mint mark at normal height. Two short horizontal die gouges in middle of eagle’s left wing opposite neck-wing junction.

Comments:
1- The obverse was first paired in the VAM 14A marriage, then the 27 and then the 2B.
2- The reverse was first used for the VAM-13 then the 27.
